Our Mission

We want to help people improve their lives and really make a difference, to be the change that we want to see. To offer those who have nothing, a step up, so they can begin to provide for themselves. We believe that the first step is education.

Life In Poverty

Many rural families live in a simple house with one or two rooms and a dirt floor, 30 minutes or more from the nearest water source. They care for their homes with pride, but they provide little protection in a natural disaster.

Finances are tight and most families are only one emergency away from having to make a drastically difficult decision. There are usually no banks or opportunities to save money.

A typical family eats starches like maize or cassava every day. Family members get nutrients from beans or vegetables a few times a week. When finances are tight, families skip meals.

Rural farmers lose vegetation cover each year and see their soil lose fertility as a result. Urgent needs compete with their ability to restore environmental health.

“I am presently doing research on how to preserve the groundnuts and the appropriate containers to use for storage. I really appreciate you for your concern towards me and for the belief that you have in me. I am really excited. I thank God for you”.

“Everybody is a genius.  But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid”
